Command Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Greg White

Speaker Greg WhiteChief Master Sergeant Greg White was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on January 24th, 1962. He graduated from Fordyce High School in May 1980. Chief White has attended Henderson State University, UALR, Central Baptist College and later obtained his associate of applied science degree in Human Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

Chief White began his military career on January 21, 1981, as an Airman Basic in the First Combat Evaluation Group, Strategic Air Command, United States Air Force. He served in Nevada, Wyoming and later as a Military Training Instructor at Chanute AFB, Illinois.

At the end of his active duty enlistment he transferred to the Arkansas Air National Guard in the 189TH Tactical Airlift Wing, Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. In July of 1986 Chief White was selected for a Full Time Active Duty Position as a Training Technician in the 189th Mission Support Squadron. Since this time he served in numerous personnel positions to include Personnel Superintendent and Base Education and Training Superintendent.

In April 1999, He was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant and was later named as the Wing's Top Enlisted Member serving as the 189th Airlift Wing's Command Chief Master Sergeant. During this final assignment in the Air Force Chief White served as Chairman of the Air National Guard's Education & Training Advisory Council (ETAC), resulting in him being recognized at the national level for his outstanding performance.

The following list is some of Chief White's most noteworthy military decorations: The Meritorious Service Medal with 2 devices, Air Force Commendation medal with 2 devices, AF Achievement Medal with 1 device, National Defense Service Medal, Global war on Terrorism Medal and the Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal.

After his military retirement on May 1st, 2007, Chief White began his civilian career with Military Personnel Services Corporation (MPSC) as a contract employee supporting "Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve" (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency. He continues to serve our Service Members and the Employers of Guardsmen and Reservist as the Program Support Specialist and Training Director for the Arkansas ESGR Committee.

Chief White lives in Vilonia, Arkansas with his wife, the former Sue Files of Kingsland, Arkansas. They have two sons, Nathan, Joshua and one daughter Britni.

Our session will highlight the following issues: 1) ESGR Mission & Goals, 2) Importance of Employer Relations, 3) Specific Training on the Uniform Services Employment & Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), 4) Services provided to HR Managers.
